Woah...

Just taking a trip down memory lane.

What a strange feeling... it's like I'm watching myself grow up, fast-forward-slow-motion-epic-camera-angles. I used to be so... energetic? Bubbly? "Bubbly" is a better word.

Oddly enough, I can see my essence in everything I wrote so long ago. I've been searching all this time, and here it is, nestled snugly behind the (now-embarrassing) exuberance of early adolescence. (Or am I just empathizing with my past self, remembering with fondness the life that I used to lead? Hm, hm.)

How strange and exquisite life is! I've gone from bubbly and ignorant to knowledgeable and cautious. Priorities shifted, perspective gained, ground covered - in just four years. Is this what it means to grow?

If you've really found your essence in these things from your past, I'm jealous.

I remember all these photos well. For me, fanfiction reading and writing was probably the hobby I had for the longest and the thing I look back on with the most fondness from my childhood. That, and RAHN, and roleplaying, and meeting you. :)

Coincidentally (and this really is a coincidence), I've also thought recently about how much ground I've covered in just two, three, four years. I never thought I'd be who I am now. I never thought I was who I was, until I looked back and saw, to my surprise.
